- Forming: Teams are unsure of their aims and

- Storming: Teams test boundaries and get to

- Norming: Teams get more at ease with one
another and with their processes as time goes on.
- Performing: Teams begin to operate effectively together and achieve ever-higher levels of peak performance.
The Scrum Master's ultimate goal for Agile teams is to get them through the first three phases: Forming, Storming and Norming as rapidly as possible to go on to the Performing phase.
