Privacy and the iPhone? Think again

Whether you are using an iPhone or not, I am sure you have seen the iPhone advertisements in which they use the phrase "privacy, that's iPhone."

But do you really think that the hype is true? After the results of the Tianfu Cup organized in Chengdu, China, I don't think it is true. Why? Go ahead and read the entire blog.

Every year Chengdu, a city in China, conducts a Tianfu Cup competition where many intelligent hackers show their skills. In the same way, they held a competition this year, where the iPhone 13 Pro (the latest version) running on iOS 15.0.2 was hacked. No, not once, but twice. And that too, within a few seconds.

A team called Kunlun Lab succeeded in breaking into the iPhone 13 Pro in less than 15 seconds. The former CTO of Qihoo 360 is Kunlun Lab's CEO. The researchers used a vulnerability to hack the smartphone using the Safari browser.

In about 15 seconds, the CEO hacked the smartphone live. However, before trying the hack, he underwent weeks of preparation. As of now, the hacking team did not explain how the smartphone might be hacked.

Kunlun Lab was not the one and only team that hacked the iPhone 13 pro. There is another team called Team Pangu. Team Pangu has a history of hacking a few Apple devices. At the recently concluded championship, the team was capable of hacking the iPhone 13 smartphone in record time, acquiring $300,000.

Both the Kunlun Lab team and Team Pangu will or have already shared the reports related to the flaws in the iPhone 13 pro, which uses iOS 15.0.2 software. And people around the world are hoping that Apple will use these reports and secure the smartphone as soon as possible.
